Initial Intake for a new patient was very well done and very professional. I revived X Rays, an exam by a Dental Hygienist plus and exam by the Dentist.
From the moment you walk into Midwest Dental in Elgin until you walk out the door, the staff is friendly and professional. Dental hygienist told me what she was doing step by step, dentist was thorough and took time to explain what I needed. Can you have a pleasant experience at a dental office? The answer is definitely YES.

After moving to the Elgin area and wanted to find a dental office close to home. I received a advertisement through the mail for a ‘New Patient’ offer from Midwest Dental in Elgin. I placed the call to see about availability for an exam and x-rays. My experience was EXCELLENT!! The receptionist worked with me to find a time that met my hectic schedule and due to a cancellation, I was able to schedule my cleaning the same week as my new patient exam. The hygienist, Chris, did an fantastic job cleaning my teeth and Dr. Sefton was so kind, thoughtful, and professional. The office is pleasant, modern, and very welcoming. Thank you Midwest Dental for a great first experience. I’m all set for my 6 month check-up!

My girl and I have been going I have been going to Midwest dental for years! Liz at Reception is kind and professional, plus she gets back to us asap if we have to leave a message. We've seen a few different dentists, and all are thorough, patient with questions, and as nice as can be! The hygienists are also super gentle, fun, and make sure you are comfortable with your cleaning. This practice makes dentist visits less daunting and pretty darn fun!

I lost a crown over the weekend and they had to squeeze me in on Monday. Very thorough and professional in correcting my crown. Luckily I had the old crown and it had not been damaged. In and out quickly. Very friendly practice. I always feel comfortable with them.

Every single person who has been with me during an appointment has been wonderful. From my first exam, Alma made me as comfortable as she could through a crazy series of x-rays, though a few fillings where various doctors and technicians were wonderful and considerate while I almost passed out. Everyone has been kind and patient. I still don't enjoy having hands in my mouth, but I'll keep coming back.

The staff and Dr. Mary are excellent. Liz at the front desk is friendly and helpful. Gabby, the hygienist, is so gentle and does a wonderful job. My husband and I are retired and don't have dental insurance. The office works with us to keep our cost down. Dr. Mary takes a watchful approach and doesn't insist on procedures being done before they're necessary. Love this place. Friendly staff and excellent dental care.
Mary Kane McAuslan is the best dentist I've ever seen. I am now the proud owner of the most beautiful, best fitting teeth I've ever had. If I had met her years ago, I would probably still have the ones God gave me. She is obviously very skilled. She took great care to do every step perfectly. Everyone in the office is kind and friendly. I'm glad to know there are still people who treat patients like human beings should be cared for. Thank you Dr. McAuslan. Dr. Mary and Alma were the best dentist and assistant I have had so far. Everyone in the office is very friendly and informative! Liz was very helpful in explaining how the billing worked and would let me know upfront what my next bill would be, so I could save up money. The office is very clean and I would definitely recommend this office to all my friends and family in the area!
This week we had another close encounter with perfection. I love these people. Dr. Mary and Gabby are wonderful people. The receptionist and all of these folks laugh easy and treat everyone wonderfully. My family and I have been going to this dentist, Mary Mcauslan, for 20 years and we really like her. She is very good and keeps up with the latest technology. I now live 50 miles from this office but still drive there for any dental work. I love the staff. They are friendly, caring and extremely good at their jobs. I recommend this office and these people to any who have dental needs.
I have been a patient of Dr. McAuslan since 1998 (20 years). We moved to Florida and I still come back to Illinois for all my dental care. I am totally satisfied with the overall treatment I receive. The staff is caring, very knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. McAulan is gentle and only recommends the necessary treatment. I will contineu to travel to Midwest Dental Elgin for my dental care. I've been seeing Dr. McAuslan for close to 20 years, and will never change. I've inherited fairly weak teeth, and have had extensive work done there. This week, a root canal and fitting for a crown on a front tooth. As planned, the procedure was long, yet I felt very comfortable. The Doctor gave detailed information on what was being done. As always with Alma and the Doctor, a good sense of humor makes going to the dentist enjoyable. Highly competent dentistry, great staff and a few laughs keep me coming back. Since I have retired, Liz has been helpful with alternate means of financing as well as working with my individual insurance (I no longer have employer dental insurance). p.s. I'm almost able to nap during treatment!
I have been a patient of Dr. M.K.McAuslan forever. After being diagnosed with periodontal disease I found out Dr. McAuslan did not do the surgery herself. I was referred to an Algonquin dentist who I went to & decided he was not for me. Called Liz & she told me they now had a new dentist, Dr. N.Soto Gonzalez, on staff who was qualified & capable of doing my surgery. The surgery went well. Dr.Gonzalez was so caring to make the surgery as comfortable as possible. She adds more depth to the Elgin office. No need to go elsewhere now. A big thank you to everyone who was involved from Alma who is so kind, Dimpey & Erika, Dr. Mary & Dr.Gonzalez. And to Liz & Stephanie who always seem to get me an appointment when needed.
I had a sudden, horrendous toothache and they squeezed me in immediately. The whole staff was attentive, genuinely kind & caring, yet very professional. Dr. Gonzalez was able to make me comfortable but had to refer me to a specialist. The specialist (and his staff), that she recommended were equally as timely and proficient. A note to parents of small children: I could hear another hygienist and his young patient next to me. The hygienist did a wonderful job relating to his young, chatty patient. I was very impressed by the way he interacted with her. The reception and treatment rooms are clean, bright and cheery. Midwest Dental gets an A+ in every aspect. Wouldn't want them to change a thing!
