What Do You Do When You Come from a Family of Dentists?
Just Ask the New Brookfield Dentist
Midwest Dental Brookfield is welcoming Dr. Adam Meinhardt, a native of Menomonee Falls, WI, to their dental office located at the corner of Capitol Drive and Brookfield Road.
In December, an opportunity arose for Dr. Meinhardt to transfer to Brookfield and be closer to home. “I’m so glad to be back where family and friends are,” Dr. Meinhardt said. “I always knew I wanted to come back home eventually.”
People often ask what led him to want to be a dentist. If it were possible to be predisposed to a certain career path, Dr. Meinhardt would be that person. “I come from a family of dentists – my dad, his brothers, my grandpa and cousins are all dentists,” he said with a laugh. “I never had a chance of being ‘normal.’”
Dr. Meinhardt finds following in his father and grandfather’s footsteps was the right move for him. Dentistry allows him to care for patients, educate them and help better their lives. “It’s really cool to have someone come in the office with an issue and in most cases be able to fix it right away,” he said. “You have that immediate result which is so rewarding. If my patients are happy, I’m happy.”
Dr. Meinhardt graduated from Marquette University before completing his dental degree at Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, NE. Following dental school, Dr. Meinhardt returned to his home state of Wisconsin and accepted a position with Midwest Dental in Fond du Lac where he worked for 3 and half years before transferring to Brookfield.
As a dentist, he enjoys being able to give back to the community by donating his time at a local pediatric dental clinic. He started volunteering during dental school and is glad to be back in the area again so he can continue. He also looks forward to getting involved in other ways in the Brookfield community with the Midwest Dental team.
