About Dr. Dawn Llorca

Midwest Dental is introducing Dr. Dawn Llorca to the West Bend community. Dr. Llorca joined the Midwest Dental practice located on Vogt Drive in West Bend earlier this year.
After receiving her dental degree in 2005, the Madison, WI native spent some of the early years of her dental career working with Midwest Dental at the Union Grove, WI location. Then in 2008 Dr. Llorca felt it was time to spread her wings, so she and her family moved to California where she spent five years providing dental care. From there they moved to Philadelphia for three years. Last year she decided it was time to come home, which also brought her back to Midwest Dental.
“I’m very excited to work with Midwest Dental again,” Dr. Llorca said. “Yes, I’ve traveled around a little, and I consider myself lucky to have had those experiences. But nothing feels better than being back home. West Bend is such a great community and the patients here have been so kind to me.”
Though it usually surprises people since she finished dental school just 12 years ago, Dr. Llorca likes to say she’s been in dentistry for over 30 years.
“I started dental assisting when I was 14 and worked with that dentist for 12 years, then with another dentist in Green Bay,” she said. “It has been my lifelong career. I love being a dentist. I love the interaction with people, making them feel comfortable and changing their smile.”
From coast to coast, Dr. Llorca has found patients often have the same concerns about visiting the dentist. Her goal is to change those views, one patient at a time. “People assume they are going to experience discomfort when they visit the dentist,” she said. “But dentistry is so different now than it used to be. My team and I love to help every person have a great experience.”
