The hygienist, Sarah, is amazing! However, good luck getting past the receptionist Alaina. She is so rude and disrespectful. She has lied to my husband, stating that I spoke with her and gave permission for a bill to be paid (I had not), so my husband paid it and then told me what she had said. She threatened to terminate our care because I called her out for lying. 0/10 do NOT recommend. Dr. May also is not knowledgeable in correctly putting on a crown. Because of him, my husband now has to go somewhere else for a root canal and new crown to correct his work.

Instead of doing anything about it she referred him to pediatric dentistry and said he should be seen there for all his care including check ups. Which would be fine but peds dentist has a 2 month waiting list. Am I just supposed to let this infection sit for 2 months because a family dentistry place can't take care of a dental infection?. Will not go back as long as she works there. Prior dentists they had were great. She is horrible. Update. They finally got rid of her, and we had a great experience afterward.

Having multiple infections in my mouth, all my teeth decaying, missing multiple teeth already, i wanted to get dentures. I can't eat solid foods. The dentist recommended trying to save the teeth. Told the dentist i didn't have the time or money, and was told to get a job, and to get insurance. This was the worst interaction I've ever had with a dentist.

Not happy at all. Had a 1:30 pm appointment scheduled for my daughter. I arrived at 1:20 pm to doors locked and a sign saying closed for lunch. Tried to call phones off the hook for lunch. Thought maybe I had written appointment down wrong so came home to try to call when they got back from lunch. Called and found out nope they came out to unlock doors at 1:30 pm for me. That doesn't help me. I took half the day off for this appointment. Wouldn't take blame told me too bad. Reschedule it for next day. Very disappointed in how they handled everything.

I had a great experience! I was made to believe for years that my wisdom teeth had to be surgically extracted. I went to Midwest Dental yesterday for pain in my mouth and he took it out right then and there! I was so relieved I may or may not have shed a few tears :) I have an appointment to have my other one removed next week. He was kind, he consistently asked if I was in pain and if I was okay. The ladies assisting him were fantastic as well! I look forward to going back and I appreciate that he did not just tell me he couldn't help me like my previous dentist had done. I’m new to the area. Found out about this office from a friend. Only had a cleaning and one crown done. Went this week with severe nerve pain in the tooth they put the crown on a year ago, they did x-rays barely looked at my teeth with a mirror and said my bite was off because my teeth had shifted... then proceeded to grind down the molar it was in contact with. Told me to go home and swish with warm salt water and give it 3-5 days. ? Called back later that same day I told them the pain was worse, they said to give it time. Tooth pain is the worst, they should’ve listened to the patient. Called a Springfield dentist that night, they got me in the next morning and diagnosed in about 5 minutes, they also did X-rays which showed the problem, that crown from a year ago was bad and A nerve was exposed. Do not recommend this office.

Followed their directions when I arrived. I was a few minutes early for the appointment. My dentist was out on medical, so I called Midwest to have a tooth filled...big mistake! My filling fell out, but when I was seen I was told the tooth was in good shape & could be filled. I went back the next day & had the tooth filled. It just didn't feel right..couldn't eat on that side..finally after 3 -4 weeks I called my regular dentist & he had me come in. He told me my tooth was split down the middle & had to be extracted. Either Midwest missed the split or caused it, so I payed $353.00 for a tooth they filled that had to be pulled. Would NEVER recommend them to anyone!

Was told I’d be charged something different than what I was I went to call to clear things up to have a receptionist named Alaina in pekin office completely disrespect me, threaten to hang up instead of clear things up and let me speak to someone else, I just paid 240 bucks to have an X-ray and to be completely dismissed like I wasn’t in pain. The assistant couldn’t even take an X-ray without jabbing one end in my eye and then the dentist came in didn’t let me ask any questions, spent maybe five minutes with me, this was horrifying to be in so much pain and to pay to be treated like this.

I would be careful going to this place. I went in for an extraction and the dentist did not know what he was doing or he could not read the horrible xray, probably both. The dentist was new and it w as s obvious he did not know what he was doing. He said it was not a simple extraction and referred me to a specialist. So after paying Midwest I had to pay a specialist which said he did not know why they sent me to him for a simple extraction. He had to take xrays again which cost me again because the xrays Midwest sent me with were horrible and you could see nothing. I will never go back to this place or recommend them to anyone.

Once Midwest dental took over they quickly made up reasons to get rid of staff that had been there for over 25 years. Apparently, 20 + an hour was more than they wanted to spend . They could get much cheaper help. I am surprised to see any of Dr. Burges staff still working for Midwest. Truly sad with all that has happened since the takeover. The receptionist, Alaina, is rude and unprofessional. I work for another dental office. When I call for other patients records she acts as if I am a problem. I really dislike contacting this office and dealing with her.

All of our family visits Midwest Dental. We have for years. Our Sons basically have been going there since they have been in school. The Staff is so kind, caring, and very professional. The office is clean. We've had no problems making appointments. They explain all the procedures very thoroughly, and even make the experiences there for smaller children as much as possible. I remember they gave my Son a pair of sunglasses to wear one time because he thought the lights were to bright in his eyes when he was laying back in the chair getting his teeth cleaned.
