I had an estimate of $265.60 over two appt's. I signed papers for $132.80 both days right before the treatment. Typically you pay that amount after the service. Their computers were down and later I am miraculously charged $360. I went in to talk with them and they acknowledged that I signed off on those amounts and even showed me the two sheets I signed, but charged me the $360 anyways. Evidently price can change its all just estimates even when they tell you this is your price today, service is completed and they do exactly what they quoted and the prices change after the service with no additional work being done. Bait and switch stay far away.

I had to get two molar teeth pulled north on the left side of my mouth. One on top, one on bottom. I’m not usually nervous about going to the dentist, but knowing this was going to be pretty painful, I was. The assistant made me feel relaxed. She just made small talk and made sure I was ok before we started. The dentist came in and explained exact my what she was gonna do. Made sure my mouth was plenty numb before she started pulling the teeth. They explained to me what I should do with the medicine they prescribed and what I should eat for the first 24 hours. All in all it was a good experience. I will definitely be keeping them as my main dentist.

I went to the Pontiac office. I was taken back to a room and told to sit in dental chair. The tech immediately started taking X-rays. Then the dr came in and told me she would pull two teeth that day. The tech told me they do not offer a payment plan and I would have to pay over $800. that same day because my insurance wouldn’t cover all of the charges. I left the office with my teeth hurting. I couldn’t afford that payment on that day. Needless to say I couldn’t get my teeth fixed. They were not helpful at all.

Left my fiancee hanging crying in pain because we didn't have 400$ to pull one tooth on us at that very moment. Wouldn't take payments or anything. We could've covered 70$ that day and had the rest next day but nope. We also explained the antibiotics she was on was making it worse and she needed something more aggressive if they were gonna send her home in pain but they prescribed her the same antibiotics that were making it worse. They don't care about people only paychecks. We went to Dr. Jordan two days later and had the toothed pulled for half the amount and they are also oral surgeons so you'll never be referred out to someone else like at Midwest.

I had a chipped tooth on one of my back teeth. I went in expecting to get a crown, but after x-rays were done it was a tooth that already had a filling and it was discovered that I had decay within the tooth, not leaving me with the option of a crown, I was disappointed to have to lose a tooth, but after Dr Bess explained to me that a crown was not feasible, I believe she was trying to save me the cost of a crown that probably would not have last. An extraction is never fun, but she explained everything she was doing, and I had full confidence in her. I would say if you are looking for a dentist, you can be confident in selecting Midwest Dental.

My significant other had an extraction done at this office because he was travelling for work and could not feasibly get to his normal office...today not even a month after the extraction he had to return for follow up due to significant pain at the extraction site. He was told that they left behind some root tips in the extraction site and they "didn't want to cause any more damage to the area than they already have" so they referred him to an Oral Surgeon. Not only is this a complication due to their inability to do a complete and thorough extraction, he was charged an EXTRA $121 today for them to do nothing more than update an x-ray and a limited oral exam of their sub-par dentistry. Now I myself work in a private dental practice , we would never take on an extraction we didn't feel 100% confident we could do well, and we NEVER charge patients for follow up care, especially when they are having pain or a potential complication. 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

It was my first time going to this facility. Staff and Dr’s were amazing and so welcoming. I give this 4 stars because I had my appointment when they just opened back up from the Covid-19. They are charging each patient $12 for “their” PPE. Not your own. I had my own mask on prior to walking in for my appointment. I personally did not agree to that. Every establishment should provide their own PPE. Taking money from people whom have been on hard times also during this pandemic do not need to pay another charge. This is my own opinion.

I wouldn't recommend this place .Dr. Bess said I needed 11 extractions and 2 partials to replace the teeth which I totally had no problem with. She told me to go to an oral surgeon but I had another Dentist that would remove the teeth which would be much less expensive however she told me if I was to go to that dentist to pull the teeth she wouldn't make my partials. I don't understand if she can't pull the teeth why she would care where I go to have them pulled. All I can figure must get a kickback from the oral surgeon..Anyway got it all done by another dentist who didn't care where I got them pulled.

I work in customer service. I understand bad days and the effect rude customers can have on a persons day. Therefore, I take care to be a completely considerate person when dealing with other customer service workers. In spite of this, I can honestly say this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a dentist office. Don’t go see Dr. gray. I am so glad I decided to go somewhere else instead of let this guy rip my teeth out of my head. He didn’t seem to care at all about what he was doing and was visibly annoyed with me for who knows what the entire conversation. Acted like he’d rather be anywhere else and was rude enough to make the assistant who was previously very talkative go completely quiet throughout the rest of the consultation which he wasn’t even there for. Just up and walked away when I told him I’d rather have a referral than let him take my teeth out, which is what I said when I called the receptionist to set up the appointment. So bad.

I heard really great things about Midwest dental and Dr Day being an amazing dentist, unfortunately when I booked an appointment I was greeted with a doctor Gray I’ve never meet such an arrogant dentist, he likes to chastise his patient, and talk to them like their children. While getting a procedure was told to raise my hand if I needed a moment and when I followed his instructions he proceeded to snap on me for doing what I was told to do. So do I follow your instructions or do I not?? He didn’t seem to treat his assistants very well either. With this experience even though I’ve moved away farther from my original dentist I’m going to return to them. My advice to anyone is schedule your appointments with Dr Day he is definitely the dentist to see there sorry we didn’t get to meet!

UPDATE: I was seen by my endodontist yesterday 3/5/19...the problem was quickly identified and I was immediately treated with a root canal. The procedure was done on the “virgin” tooth that Dr. Gray at Midwest Dental was so kind to point out had nothing wrong with it. Thank you again Dr. Gray, due to your exemplary X-ray reading abilities and failure to assist me, I endured unnecessary pain for nearly a week before my issue could be resolved. For the record, there happened to be a space between the root, gum line and tooth enamel allowing exposure of dentin and encroachment of salivary bacteria causing inflammation and mild necrosis to the pulp. I guess sometimes you need to be more then just booksmart.

I moved to Pontiac from Crest Hill. For awhile I would drive back and forth from Crest Hill for my dental appointments. After awhile it just got to be too much. I found Midwest Dental and I have been very happy. There is staff is very professional. Dr. Day is my Dentist and Julie Dawson is my dental hygienist. They take the time to explain things. Thanks!

Not looking forward to coming into the dentist to have a broken tooth looked at I have to say that I was very happy with choosing Midwest Dental. This was my first visit and I will be back as a regular now for sure on all routine and dental work. Dr Lentz and his assistant Gretchen really eased my mind and talked me through every detail of what they were going to do. They made me feel comfortable and calm in a very uncomfortable situation for me. My recovery has been great and I will recommend Midwest Dental to anyone that I talk to for sure. I have the great misfortune of having less than ideal genetics for good teeth. Subsequently, I have had more than my fair share of dental work. The crew at Midwest Dental, from reception to check-out are fantastic! Dr. Smitha Bhandary is the best! Typically I am difficult to get numb, but she is very accurate, keeps you pain-free, and the anesthetic is starting to wear off as you leave the office. I am so sorry, as I have forgotten their names, but her tech and hygienist are excellent also! They are both great at what they do and the whole gang is genuinely pleasant to be with. I'm not a huge fan of getting my teeth worked over, but when I need too, I wouldn't want anyone else to do the task!

We were looking for a local dentist as we had moved to the area in the last year and it was time for check ups. Midwest Dental staff took all the information for our family of 5 over the phone and was able to get us appointments right away. Two of my girls were seen the same day! Once we arrived the reception staff were super friendly and we were seen very quickly with hardly any wait. The staff and dentist answered all my questions and were just great with my younger daughters! I highly recommend this office!
