I absolutely love Dr. Spurgeon's dental practice. Everyone in the office is personable and friendly. My recent visit was for my 6 month cleaning and exam. I get a build up of tenacious tartar even though I brush and floss daily. I also detest the use of the ultrasonic device that works best at removing tartar as my teeth are very sensitive to the high frequency vibrations and cold water. I told the hygienist my fears but that she could use it if she felt it was necessary. She said she could turn the device down and I think she added warm water to the tank. I never knew they could do this. What a game changer! It was the first time I didn't white knuckle the experience and my teeth feel so clean! A big thank you to Brittany, my hygienist, for listening to me.

My husband and I were both seen by this office. And both had weird and unpleasant visits. After the dentist finished drilling a cavity, which he didn’t fix properly, I wasn’t offered water to anything to rinse out my mouth. With fragments of my tooth still in my mouth I had to ask for water to rinse. The dentist long gone, and the nurse looked at me like “what? You need to rinse your mouth?” SUPER WEIRD. Never had an experience like that.

What makes seeing the dentist at Midwest Dental a good experience are the People there. From the moment of walking in the door the Receptionist greets you with a smile, she is kind, and friendly, to the Hygienists, who are knowledgeable, friendly and courteous, to the dentist, who is skilled, knowledgeable, caring, and goes out of his way if something is needed, even after hours. I searched for a dentist that has a great reputation, staff that are knowledgeable, budget-friendly, convenient scheduling and location. From the first day I felt welcomed, answering any questions I might have. As my dental exam proceeded, the Dr. gave me my options, and we put a plan in place, everyone in the office worked together as a team. The office is extremely clean, necessary precautions are in place with Covid 19. I would definitely recommend Midwest Dental for your dental needs!

I've been going to Midwest Dental for a few years now and never really had issues until recently. My 6 month check up was rescheduled due to the hygienist being out with a migraine. The soonest appointment available would be 2+ months out. Ok, not happy but what do you do? Last week they called and could get me in the next day due to a cancelation. Great, I'll take it. Upon my arrival I went through all the covid screening questions and had my temperature taken. The hygienist asked me if I had a headache, I responded yes, the same one I've had since I had covid in December. I've recently changed primary doctors and she is addressing some of the long term effects that I've been having. She told me having a headache is a covid symptom and I'd need to reschedule. Seriously, out the door I went. There are othere dentists and hygienists in the area.

My first appointment with Dr. Spurgeon yesterday was a positive experience. Amy at the front desk, was friendly and knowledgable. Chelsey, Doctor’s assistant, took all of my xrays, being careful to not cause discomfort. I knew I would be needing a lot of work and after a thorough examination, Dr. Spurgeon spent time explaining what I would need done and answering all my questions. A treatment plan was printed out for me and Amy explained what my insurance would cover and what would be out of pocket for each of my future appointments. The treatment plan is great — I will know what to expect at each visit! I’m glad my daughter referred me to this friendly group!
