I am very unhappy after my most recent visit. The hygienist got this idea that I need to see a periodontist. The Dentist at this location just rubber stamped her opinion without a thorough exam. Then I was given a referral for a periodontist clinic that is outside of my insurance network. Which would result in much larger out of pocket cost. I do not believe that a dental hygienist is qualified to make such an important decision regarding what type of care is necessary and then essentially make the referral without a thorough exam by the Dentist. I will definitely be getting a second opinion. Several years ago, a different hygienist had a similar idea, but the doctor completed a thorough exam and overruled her recommendation. Due to this experience, I am considering finding a new dentist.

I have been going to this dentistry since I was single, when I got married, had my first kid. Midwest Dental is a little dentist office with a big heart. They removed my wisdom teeth and filled my cavities. The former was a big operation and they did an incredible job on my teeth. I keep coming back for my check ins, less for my teeth, and more for the people I have gotten to know. Midwest Dental can and will take care of you.

Since I was a child born with weaker enamel, the dentist has always been very difficult and gave me anxiety. From my experiences with Midwest Dental in Hastings MN I can honestly say those worries have gone away. From the initial interaction to the procedures themselves there's nothing but care and quality and I finally felt comfortable and safe and can even say I enjoyed myself a little bit at the dentist office. Not only did they improve my teeth health, but also improved the idea of going there in the first place. 100/10.

Dentists used to scare me because of the horrible office I went to as an adolescent. But through the year's I've come across some really good offices and after my last dentist made the decision to retire, I was searching for a new home. The staff at Midwest Dental - Hastings reminds me of the old office environment that I recently left. They make you feel like you're the only patient and ensure that you're comfortable at all times. I'm the type of person that puts something or someone on a pedestal and then everything and everyone else has to try and reach that top spot and they have done just that in the very short time I've been a patient. Had my teeth cleaned by Kathy on Tuesday,1/21 and had a tooth prepped for a crown on 1/23,by Dr. Gunderson. I'm 65 years old and have never liked going to the dentist but,so far,my experience at Midwest Dental has been the most pleasant dental experience of my life.Permanent crown will be put in on 2/6...stay tuned. I started going there after not being to the dentist in years. They told me I had lots of issues. Started working on getting things fixed over the next year. I had to switch dentist before everything was even 1/4 done due to insurance changing and turns out my teeth had very little issues at all. All the expensive work they'd been doing wasn't needed at all! I haven't had any issue since changing dentist. Save your money- go somewhere else!

Nightmare. They claim you have more cavities than you do to make money off you. The billing is never right, they fail to file correctly with your insurance and bill you more than appropriate for your out of pocket expense. When I asked for xray protection measures for my young children they told me it was not needed and I was paranoid. They are very aggressive in treatment and your priorities are their lowest concern. Avoid this place, there are plenty of other dentists around.
