Last Friday was my 1 st appointment, it should be $59 but they charge me 150$. And for the filling should be 40$ but they charge me 102$ . They still say $102 even after my insurance confirmed they cover 80%. And they gonna charge me over 800$ for cleaning. This is really a rip off. I don’t want to do that or I don’t want to send anybody there.

I had a poor experience at my first--and what will be my last--visit to the White Bear Lake Midwest Dental office. I was given misleading directions to the office. I found the staff unwilling or unable to explain forms, prices and insurance coverage. The hygienist seemed distracted and disengaged and spoke very little and didn't offer fluoride treatment. The Doctor appeared more interested in chatting with the hygienist than talking with me during my exam or discussing any potential procedures (crown).

Dr.Keifer was absolutely a perfectionist. He went well above and beyond the minimum. I was in pretty bad shape and he has done more than fix my teeth but there he mad a concerted effort to make sure they look good and that my bite was perfect. He was not judgemental which put me at ease.

My family of four have been long time patient at Northeast Dental and have had a lot of work done by Dr. Kieffer. We only have wonderful things to say about him. However,, My last visit was after they changed ownership to Midwest Dental, three of us went in for a routine teeth cleaning and a couple weeks later they sent me a bill for the teeth cleaning. I felt that this must be a mistake? My family has been with them for at least 14 years and the bill was very expensive. I called and they explained they no longer except my insurance carrier (federal employee insurance) and I will be charged. Also the receptionist said we left a message on the answering machine months ago. I payed the large bill and now my trust has been broken and looking for a new dentist office.

My previous dentist (one of the large dental chains in the area) told me I needed a root canal, buildup and crown and that I would need 2 different specialists to do the work. They then proceeded to refer me to a specialist that was out of network. I then called Northeast Dental that Friday and they got me in the next day (Yes on a Saturday!). They were able to do the whole procedure at their office. This saved me time, money and frustration. I am very happy with Northeast Dental and will be using them as my regular dentist going forward.

I had an emergency situation where I needed to see a dentist immediately and get some teeth pulled and a deep cleaning. They got me in immediately and worked to fit me in to take care of my dental problems. I had never been there before, but by the time I left, I felt like I had been a client with them for years. They are definitely my dentist provider in the future. They are client orientated and have Saturday and evening hours a couple of times a week besides. Absolutely awesome care!
