I was told by Dr Allen that my molar was to far gone and the only option was to have the tooth pulled. That didnt make sense to me so luckily i got a second opinion from another dentist and he was bewildered as to why she told me that. He scheduled me for a root canal and crown and saved my tooth even tho the crown was a bit tricky. Guess he had more skills? My appointments were always late 10-15 minutes, always seems rushed once i do sit in the chair like im just a number instead of a patient. Staff isnt very friendly and with Dr Allen it seems its her way or the highway. They also told me my insurance didnt cover root canals which turned out to not be true. Just a bad experience all the way around but on the bright side i found a new dentist.

I recently switched to Midwest Dental as I was looking for a "new" dentist and was due for another 6 month cleaning. I had been with my prior dentist for around 3 years. It was a large dental office and I was looking for something smaller and more customer focused. I had my first and only appointment a few weeks ago at Midwest and was thoroughly unimpressed. After my cleaning, the dentist came in and examined and told me I have 11 (yes you heard me right) 11 cavities! I was stunned as I just had my prior cleaning not even a year ago. How is this possible? Then upon leaving, I was told I needed to pay my deductible of $90?! I paid as was in a rush to get to another appointment. A few days later, I called and spoke with the receptionist and asked why I was asked to pay my deductible as my appt was only for a cleaning and xrays and preventative services are covered at 100% with my insurance? The receptionist told me, well it's the patient's job to stay on top of their insurance?! (I'm thinking then why are you telling me what to pay or not to pay if it's my responsibility???!). After some back and forth with a very rude receptionist, she offered to call my insurance and check it out and get back to me. Never got a call back but needless to say I was refunded my deductible. I won't be going back here and have plans to get a 2nd opinion about my "11 cavities"

Came in with a toothache and was told they can't do anything but refer me to someone that can, thanks for the waste of time. Only thing I got out the visit were four lousy hydrocodones to deal with the pain. Go to the pharmacy to get em and find out they screwed up my name despite me spelling it for them on multiple forms. Had to drive all the way back to pick up a corrected prescription and now I'm still waiting for some pain relief. Very difficult to recommend this place when there are a handful of others with glowing reviews, definitely will be checking one of them out instead of ever going back to here.

My mother was charged $225 for her initial exam and x-rays today. These charges did not even include a cleaning. My mother was not informed of the required new patient procedures, nor of their cost and that payment was due immediately, upon booking the appointment. I called to clarify this point and Sarah, the receptionist, argued with me and implied that my mother "forgot" that she was given this information prior to the appointment. My mother's memory is intact, but I fear for any elderly person who visits this dental office.
