I have had a LOT of billing issues with Midwest Dental. First they tried billing my husband's insurance for both of my appointments (we have separate insurance, and I gave them my card at the time of my first appointment). When the insurance company declined the claim, rather than calling to tell me, they sent a bill for over $1,700 with a letter stating it needed to be paid in full. I gave them my insurance information again but they only submitted one appointment through my insurance (the other still through my husband's) then sent me another bill for over $1,100 less than a month later. I have spent a lot of unnecessary time on the phone with my insurance company due to their lack of competency and/or processes in terms of billing and insurance claims.

The dentist and hygienist I liked here left a few years ago. I haven't been able to find anyone good since. One hygienist was so pushy, kept trying to sell me many services I didn't need at every appointment. Another with a booming voice made me really anxious by yelling in my ear. My most recent talked NONSTOP the entire cleaning and told me her job was boring but she liked to talk to pass the time. Also, she commented about another client in an unkind way and repeatedly sprayed water all over my face. I'm going elsewhere. The two dentists currently there are OK, but they do seem to turn staff over.

Dr. Metzler is a very kind, sincere, and compassionate dentist. I was experiencing a lot of pain after one of my fillings, so I called the office to let them know, and Dr. Metzler had me come back in that same day. He looked at my tooth and took an x-ray at no charge. He really took care of me and I'm doing great now! I've been going to Midwest Dental for years and I've always had a fantastic experience.

I've been going there for years. The only thing I really don't like is the hygienist always tries to sell me something. Yesterday I was offered no less than four products/services. Its a bit much. My teeth are in pretty good shape.

Dr Pass and Amy took such good care of me. I am leaving on vacation on Friday and I went in on Tuesday, Jan 8, thinking I just had a cavity, when is fact my bridge was loose....They got me in the next day, got the old bridge out without damaging it. They did their magic and I am able to leave on Friday with no worries. Thank you guys, awesome customer service.... Pam D

I've recently been starting to come here new to the area and they have been perfect and explain to me what's being done and why, as well as explaining well what is the next steps for cavities or checkups with the dentist.

I had an awful big cancer sore that was not healing. I called to see how I could get some relief. They told me they had a laser that can help with healing! It was the best visit to the dentist ever!! I am so grateful for this service and this amazing staff!

I hadn't been to the dentist in several years so I was a little nervous, but Midwest Dental was kind, courteous, and gentle.

As always everything was better than can be expected at Midwest Dental Tania is absolutely the best (ask for her if you can). I am thinking this is not the norm but where can you go have your exam and if they find a cavity it can get taken care of on the spot? Midwest Dental is the best!! Amazing Amy and Dr. Van Dyke do an awesome job.

I'm Sandy Gorecki and had my cleaning done on 3/8/2018 and also been going there for umpteen years. the experience was good with cleaning and didn't take long and pain free. I will be seeing Dr. Farrell next week as I need a front tooth replaced. She has been working with me on this and know when I'm coming in and stops to ask how I'm doing. I feel very comfortable going there!!!

Went to Midwest dental for my 6 month check up and was told I had 10 cavities and needed a crown. My son was told he had 2 cavities I felt like I was at a sales presentation not a cleaning and check up. I decided to get a 2nd opinion on the cavities. Of the "10" that I had with Midwest, I only had 1 according to the 2nd opinion and my son had none. All this clinic is looking out for is their pocketbook. Will never recommend to others and would warn to go elsewhere. They should have their license pulled for fraud!!!!

Well, I don't know what poor Nicole's problem was, but I've been going to Midwest Dental for over 20 years and have never had a bad experience. I have seen the young hygienists come, get experience, and move on. I've seen a handful of dentists come and go. All the while a very positive experience. I have never felt they were trying to rip me off, overcharge my insurance, or otherwise give me anything less than 100% professionalism. The cleanings I've received were aggressive (much more than a waterpick, Nicole), and I've been scolded for not flossing, because as one hygienist put it, "I don't want to see all my hard work go to waste." Thank you, Midwest Dental, for taking better care of my teeth than I do.

If I could give them a negative star review I would... Went there for a cleaning and it was the worst cleaning I've ever had. Hygenist only used a water pick to clean, did not leave with that "deep clean" feel. She was very nice but kept trying to sell me on all of the extra add ons and products they sell. Dentist came in and said I had something wrong with every one of my teeth and that I would need to come in for 8 follow up appointments in order for everything to be fixed. I've been having cleanings done every 6 months for years and there has never been anything wrong. The very next day I went to a different dentist office for a second opinion and was told everything was fine. Midwest Dental is just a chain that's looking to scam you and your insurance company. Don't waste your time.

I can't say I enjoy going to the dentist, however, when I do have an appointment, I am greeted with smiles, courtesy, and friendship. The staff at Midwest Dental are professional, genuine, and caring.

I have nerve damage in my jaw area, so dentists are even more of a "pain" for me. Kathy has been great. I have been to many dentists, and none have taken the time to be sensitive to my damage. She always takes her time, and will check in with me on how the pain is going. I will not see another hygienist as she has been great and understanding. If I say I haven't been flossing much, she doesn't make it negative, she tells me all the positives and makes sure to explain that i'm flossing and brushing correctly. For the dentist being a place that is not a joy to a lot of people, i can say that they have been great with me and I will continue to work with Kathy.

Up until about a year and a half ago, I had nothing but good experiences with this dental office. The hygienists have always been very kind and knowledgeable. However, I sought out a new office last summer after my second encounter with Midwest Dental's new dentist, Dr. Robert Van Dyke. While I won't discredit his experience or knowledge, he had a terrible temperament on both occasions. He seemed seriously irritated and annoyed with having to be there, berated the hygienist, and talked down to me. I left the office upset after both appointments. Very few individuals look forward to going to the dentist, but it certainly helps to have a dentist who treats you and his or her staff with respect, kindness, and empathy.

This is a great place! They make you feel very comfortable and they are real and personable! They did everything to make my experience a good one. I had to have a lot of work done in a short amount of time because my insurance was changing. They worked with me fast in a timely manner without sacrificing quality care. I recommend Midwest Dental to anyone needing dental care. They are very concerned about their clients and their needs! Thank you for a very positive experience!

Great people, great customer service. I've been to a number of dentist over the years and never had a better experience than at Midwest Dental. They explain your options, answer all your questions and give you cost based on your insurance. A great location if you're looking for a quality, caring facility.

Have worked with a couple different hygienists(Tonia & Carly) and they have been both very personable. I've also switched my kids to one of their other offices(closer to their school) as their previous dentist just seemed to push people through like cattle. My last appointment was just yesterday where I had to get 2 fillings and I was in 10 minutes early and it only took about 45 minutes.
