Very nice staff, BUT if they tell you that you need periodontal care and thousands of dollars in fillings and root canals, I highly recommend getting a second opinion. Getting intensive care when you don’t need isn’t just bad for your wallet, it’s bad for your long term dental health!!!

They are fine. The desk staff are friendly and helpful and have some continuity from one visit to the next unlike everyone else. I know there is a shortage of hygienists and dentists now, but maybe try paying them more to stay. The new faces every six months is getting old. I have to reexplain things every time to the new people. The only reason I don't find a new dentist is that I'm too lazy to change and they have all my recent x rays and history. I want to see the same dentist two years in a row. Other dentists in the area don't have this turnover.

Typical dental office. The staff is friendly as is the dentist. When you fill out your new patient forms, they ask you to rate your smile from 1-10. They also ask if you are interested in braces or teeth whitening. I put no to both questions, but it really didn't matter because during my exam, the dentist still recommended both to me. If it were a concern of mine, then by all means, please tell me my options. But being that I specifically said I was not interested, this felt like a money grab and made me think twice about continuing my care with this office. Another thing to note is that they never answer the phone. Every single time I call I get their voicemail. I completely understand that they get busy with patients, but at least have an option to be put on hold. Not everyone has time to wait for a call back.

My first appt was cleaning and checkup and all went very well i really sorry I don't know my hygienist name but she was very friendly and we chatted quite a bit when Dr. Stull came in he went over my X-rays and checked my teeth and gave me a full report of what I needed to do to keep my mouth healthy but he was not pushy and I walked out of office with quotes of what my out of pocket would be for suggestions he made which I was very happy with. When i got home I told of husband make that dental appointment at Midwest and he did. Glad my first choice to make Midweat Detntal and Dr Stull our dentist was successful. Not impressed. I went to the downtown office that is now on Copeland Ave. It was quite obvious the Head Hygienist, not the dentist, is the one in charge. My guess is that she has been there the longest, before Midwest bought it over. I also want to add, in the 3 years I was there, I went through 3 dentists. The head-hygienist is rough around the edges, makes rude comments, and insurance-code talks clients who dare questions charges (witnessed this while I was on the chair and many times when I was in the waiting room). I learned the hard way that Midwest is one of the more expensive places to go for a regular cleaning. The nice waiting room with cookies, over-sized pictures, aquarium, and finch aviary is all rolled up in your bill. Every time I went for a regular 6mos cleaning, I had to make out of pocket payments. Now, I get my teeth cleaned every 3 months and pay nothing.

I appreciated the day of my cleaning that I was informed there wasn't a dentist there. i didn't need a dentist and I was fully confident in the cleaning I was going to receive, but if I would have had issue with that, I would have known. Only downfall is that like any other business they try to sell you extras. I am offered a fluoride treatment, but was not informed that this is not covered by insurance. Now that I know I can make the decision if I want this or not. Overall they are probably the best dentist I have been to and unfortunately I have been to a lot.
