I appreciate their quick response, Dianne immediately answered my phone call and scheduled my appointment immediately. Since she knew that Dr. Lee was about to leave for that day. She communicated with Dr. Lee for my case and quick checked me in with X-ray images taken. I am really thankful for what she helped! Dr. Lee responses quickly and gave me quick diagnosis with clear explanation. I am very lucky to have such good team taking care of my teeth!

I think that this place was much better when Dr. Spiewak was there. Since then, it has definitely gone downhill. The people need to be more friendly and practice better Customer Service skills. I understand that COVID is going on, It seems like there's times when I come here, I feel like I'm dealing with Government workers at the Post office or the DMV, and it should not be this way, since I'm a paying customer. I'm not blaming anyone in particular, but I'm just saying the Service overall needs to improve.

Trust. Going anywhere today requires a degree of trust. I think that's especially true of a setting like the dentist, where close proximity is a part of the experience. Going to see Dr. Lee at Midwest Dental, I have complete trust that she and her staff will make my visit safe, that they will explain any issues that come up in a way that I can understand, and that I will leave feeling that I have been treated like family. .

I regret going to this practice. They lied to me stating services I received were covered by my insurance when in fact they were not (I recieved a very large surprise bill 4 weeks after the services were performed). I was left with a huge bill they made me pay and said it was necessary for my oral health (I've never had a cavity). The sad part is my close friend is a dentist with their own practice 2 hours away. Had I know I needed such expensive work and needed to pay out of pocket I would have just seen her. I believe this is deceptive and would never recommend anyone to this practice.

My 3 old son had an appointment very early in the morning. We were 11-12 minutes late, and they would not see us. I was surprised by the lack of empathy and understanding from the office staff; and the doctor was sitting there, seeing us and not saying anything. We are not punch machines, we are humans. I would expect them to understand that a child is different from an adult and it may take longer to wake them up, etc. Also, there is a lot of trouble getting a child to come to the doctor at all. You have to talk to them and prepare them mentally for the appointment. When they have delay in their job and services we have to wait and be patient while there is low tolerance when we are late

Decided to switch from this dentist office, as my initial cleaning visit left things to be desired (seemed like X-rays took way longer/were way more difficult than I've ever experienced at a dentist's office before), my follow-up included drilling that seemed unnecessary (previous dentists had all said the area in question did not require any drilling/filling), and my second cleaning took forever due to issues with the computer program they were using. When I finally decided to switch, it took 4 phone calls (3 from me, one from my new dentist's office) to get my X-rays forwarded to my new dentist.

I've had very poor experiences with this facility. If you're new to the area and looking for a dentist, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. I will say that Amanda (hygienist) and Dr. Lee are generally good. Unfortunately, the latter splits her time between this location and another facility, and it can be hard to get an appointment with her. Dr. Spiewak performed my oral evaluation and was very unprofessional. When asked, I was honest about my home care habits. Instead of giving me advice, he told me I'd be spending a lot of time in the dentist's office, I'd be paying off his college loans, and made other less-than-constructive comments. At the end of the evaluation, he yelled out a diagnosis, made more demeaning comments, told me his assistant "would go over the financials," and then left without explaining what he found. I also had a lengthy back-and-forth with staff at this facility over an insurance claim that they repeatedly misfiled, saying that my insurance provider was "difficult to work with." I wound up paying out of pocket because, despite Dr. Spiewak ordering the procedure, review by my insurance provider deemed it not medically necessary and thus not covered. In handling that, I also came to find I was overbilled for two other appointments, and was given the runaround when I asked the Midwest Dental staff about it. Overall, this place was a headache to work with. I should've gotten a second opinion, but was crunched for time. There's no shortage of dental clinics in Madison. If you need a dentist, there are far

I have been a patient at Midwest Dental, University Avenue, since 1995 and have experienced nothing but courteous, kind, professional and honest treatment. Dr. Spiewak, Rose, Maggie, Kathy and all of the staff with whom I've had contact, are genuinely concerned about their patients' wellbeing. Options are presented in an objective manner, and patients need never feel pressured into making decisions that they might doubt. Dr. Spiewak and Trinli have provided dental care for my husband and me for over six years. The care has been excellent and professional. I like that Dr. Spiewak is conservative about treatment, he will put a "watch" on a tooth if he sees a possible problem in its future, but doesn't push procedures unless they are necessary. Dr. Spiewak and Trinli have provided dental care for my husband and me for over six years. The care has been excellent and professional. I like that Dr. Spiewak is conservative about treatment, he will put a "watch" on a tooth if he sees a possible problem in its future, but doesn't push procedures unless they are necessary. I really like the software technology they use in addition to direct observation. For example, the program they use to help them determine depth, position, and degree of tooth decay makes me feel so much more confident that the dentist is making much more informed diagnosis. In addition, I extremely appreciated that Dr. Spiewak went over each tooth image that he noticed any degree of decay on, and pointed out exactly where it was in my mouth so I knew where to keep an eye on, floss better, etc. Both Dr. Spiewak and the assistant were extremely informative in explaining everything they were doing as they were doing it. Only reason this isn't 5 stars is because their location is on an extremely busy road and sometimes hard to get into.

I regret going to this practice. They lied to me stating services I received were covered by my insurance when in fact they were not (I recieved a very large surprise bill 4 weeks after the services were performed). I was left with a huge bill they made me pay and said it was necessary for my oral health (I've never had a cavity). The sad part is my close friend is a dentist with their own practice 2 hours away. Had I know I needed such expensive work and needed to pay out of pocket I would have just seen her. I believe this is deceptive and would never recommend anyone to this practice.

My 3 old son had an appointment very early in the morning. We were 11-12 minutes late, and they would not see us. I was surprised by the lack of empathy and understanding from the office staff; and the doctor was sitting there, seeing us and not saying anything. We are not punch machines, we are humans. I would expect them to understand that a child is different from an adult and it may take longer to wake them up, etc. Also, there is a lot of trouble getting a child to come to the doctor at all. You have to talk to them and prepare them mentally for the appointment. When they have delay in their job and services we have to wait and be patient while there is low tolerance when we are late

Doctor Spiewak has been my dentist for over 6 years now. I have been seeing a few different dentists in Madison before, and can say that Michael is the most knowledgeable and most professional dentist. You can see and feel the difference after the first visit, just evaluating your mouth health. I have recommended Dr. Spiewak to my friends and they have been very happy too. I've had very poor experiences with this facility. If you're new to the area and looking for a dentist, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. I will say that Amanda (hygienist) and Dr. Lee are generally good. Unfortunately, the latter splits her time between this location and another facility, and it can be hard to get an appointment with her. Dr. Spiewak performed my oral evaluation and was very unprofessional. When asked, I was honest about my home care habits. Instead of giving me advice, he told me I'd be spending a lot of time in the dentist's office, I'd be paying off his college loans, and made other less-than-constructive comments. At the end of the evaluation, he yelled out a diagnosis, made more demeaning comments, told me his assistant "would go over the financials," and then left without explaining what he found. I also had a lengthy back-and-forth with staff at this facility over an insurance claim that they repeatedly misfiled, saying that my insurance provider was "difficult to work with." I wound up paying out of pocket because, despite Dr. Spiewak ordering the procedure, review by my insurance provider deemed it not medically necessary and thus not covered. In handling that, I also came to find I was overbilled for two other appointments, and was given the runaround when I asked the Midwest Dental staff about it. Overall, this place was a headache to work with. I should've gotten a second opinion, but was crunched for time. There's no shortage of dental clinics in Madison. If you need a dentist, there are far

Dr. Spiewak and Trinli have provided dental care for my husband and me for over six years. The care has been excellent and professional. I like that Dr. Spiewak is conservative about treatment, he will put a "watch" on a tooth if he sees a possible problem in its future, but doesn't push procedures unless they are necessary. The staff is friendly and helpful. When my husband needed a referral to an oral surgeon we knew he was being sent to the best. We have each seen Dr. Lee on occasion and had excellent experiences.

I really like the software technology they use in addition to direct observation. For example, the program they use to help them determine depth, position, and degree of tooth decay makes me feel so much more confident that the dentist is making much more informed diagnosis. In addition, I extremely appreciated that Dr. Spiewak went over each tooth image that he noticed any degree of decay on, and pointed out exactly where it was in my mouth so I knew where to keep an eye on, floss better, etc. Both Dr. Spiewak and the assistant were extremely informative in explaining everything they were doing as they were doing it. Only reason this isn't 5 stars is because their location is on an extremely busy road and sometimes hard to get into.
