Outside of dentistry, I’m passionate about health and fitness—I’m a certified personal trainer and genuinely enjoy helping others feel their best through movement and wellness. I’m also a lifelong car enthusiast, and I love spending time in the garage working on projects or going for drives. But more than anything, I value time with my family and close friends. Whether we’re sharing a meal, going on a weekend trip, or just catching up, that time grounds me and brings me joy.
I believe that patients don’t truly value your care until they know you care. My philosophy is to treat every patient with the same empathy, honesty, and attention I would give my own family. I want every patient to feel heard, respected, and safe—both in the chair and in the decisions we make together. Ultimately, I hope they leave feeling confident, cared for, and never rushed.

Dr Anderson was very patient , very easy going and so relaxed that he actually made me feel very relaxed and comfortable through the entire process. From Chasity at the front desk the moment I walked in , to Dr Anderson and the actual extraction, I knew I wasn't going anywhere else , ever ! Thank You! I would highly recommend Dr Anderson and Midwest Dental . They even give you follow up calls just to check on you. They really care about you and your mouth health. Hated going to the dentist before coming here. All the staff is wonderful. Treat you with kindness and respect and listen to you. Give you advice but no lecture. The staff I usually see, are more like friends I'm hanging out with we get along so well! And the job they do on my teeth is fantastic!

They are very kind and don't give you a judgemental look like most dentist do. My daughter said they are the most gentle dentist she has ever been to. Would highly recommend them to anyone.
❤ I needed 2 teeth fixed before I could have heart surgery. My dentist retired and no dentist was willing to help me right away. They were so nice getting it scheduled within days and Dr Anderson fixed everything at my first appt. They cared and found a way. I can't tell you how much that meant to me and my family. The staff was so friendly, the two receptionists were super helpful explaining all my payment options, and they helped me schedeule an appoinment that worked for me. The dr was very curteous as well as the dental hygenist.
My son whom is on the spectrum was very nervous walking into a new dentist. All the staff from the moment we walked in was super welcoming and friendly. After neglecting my teeth for a number of years do to the death of my last dentist, I chose Midwest Dental on the recommendation of friends. I have not been disappointed. A thourough review of all my dental issues was given to me with the estimated cost after insurance. Gave me an excellant idea of what was ahead of me. We are over half way through the list so far with great results.

From the first phone call it was an amazing experience. Jill at the front desk talked to me multiple times trying to get me in earlier than the 2 days out that I was scheduled for my broken tooth. When I went they were so kind and caring knowing I was in pain. They did everything to be safe from COVID to figuring out what my options were. I decided to get it extracted. The Dr. Tried to fit me in same day unfortunately could not due to other appointments however, her husband at the Ohio St. location could fit me in and they sent me over literally 3 minutes away to help me. My new patient appointment is next month and I actually am looking forward to it when usually I hate going to the dentist as I've had bad experiences in the past and had braces for 5 years so just not a fan. Midwest Dental and everyone I came in contact with was nice and happy and upbeat. Would recommend 1000 times over.
Dr. Machi is very nice and easy to talk to. The staff is attentive and friendly which creates a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!
I have gone to Midwest Dental since I was a kid, and they have always been honest, and treated me like family. I have never had any issues with their service, and I highly recommend them. They genuinely care about your teeth, and will not perform unnecessary service to make money. I hope I never have to go anywhere else but here!
Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, has been extremely helpful when there are snafu's with my health insurance. 6 month cleanings are always quick and painless, would highly recommend!!
I have been here twice now, once for my consultation and just recently for my cleaning. The receptionist is incredibly kind, caring, and personable. She really has helped me understand how my insurance works and what it covers both times. I had Becky for my cleaning and was amazed by how thorough and careful she was during my cleaning. I had made the terrible decision to whiten my teeth prior to my appointment and she always checked in to make sure I was doing okay. Overall, all of the interactions I have had at this office have been great. I look forward to getting all my future cleanings done here!
Midwest is a very good dental facility and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I've been going to Midwest Dental since I was a young kid. I've tried other dental offices and none compare to Midwest. You're the best!
The staff here at Midwest dental is awesome and very friendly and easy to talk to. I would recommend Dr Erika Varrhoven to anyone she is the best dentist I ever had. She replaced a crown recently and I never felt a thing when removing the old one. There have been alot of dentists that have come and gone here but when Dr Erika came they found the best.
I needed a new dentist because I moved back to the area. I choose this one because I also needed a dentist for my daughter as they see adults and children. The first hygienist I had I didn't care for. She was rude. She was very impatient with my daughter who was 6 at the time and scared. She no longer works here now. All the hygienists I've had since her I've really liked. They are friendly and personable. Dr. Erika is great! She is very lind and patient. My daughter and I both don't mind going to the dentist now every 6 months. The office staff is very helpful and friendly as well.

Wouldn't go anywhere else... They're awesome with my daughter. She was pretty scared at her previous dentist, and they weren't very compassionate about it. You won't run into that problem here. ( remember, no matter where you go, they'll try and sell you the perfect smile, that's my only complaint. I don't like how quick they are to spend my money, whether i can afford it or not. But comfort is king, and that they have perfected)
The staff was very polite, professional, and knowledgeable. Becky made sure I was comfortable during my cleaning and let me know what she was doing and also gave me some great advice. Dr. Erika was very professional and showed concern for my oral hygiene.

My wife really disliked going to the dentist; big time dislike. Last week she had oral surgery by Dr. Erica Van Larrhoven. It was a painless experience and she was in the chair two hours. She no longer really dislikes going to the dentist. Dr. Van Larrhoven is a Great dentist!

Midwest Dental and I have been together for many years. A few dentists have come and gone, but are always replaced by another that I am very pleased with. ..Including our current one. I have had deep cleanings, crowns, and a partial done there and always very satisfied. The staff is competent , professional, yet friendly, pleasant. The building is nice, clean, well kept. I highly recommend Midwest Dental on South Park Ave in Oshkosh,WI.
The team at this office is consistently outstanding. They have convenient hours and helpful staff who are genuinely interested in their patients' lives. Dr. Erika has excellent bedside manner (with children and adults) and I've never had a hygienist I didn't like. My son and I have been patients at this practice for a number of years and plan to keep coming back because of the excellent care we receive.

I am really glad that I made the right choice because they are really great at what they are doing and very friendly. They really know the best treatment that suited for us. It is a pleasure to get care from the smart team.
I've had multiple appointments at this location and every time I arrive, I'm always greeted with a smile. The woman at the front desk always addresses me by name, and knows exactly why I'm there. I'm assisted promptly and never have a long wait. The dental assistants and dental hygienists I've worked with are extremely thorough and explain things in terms I understand. They make sure I'm comfortable, which I appreciate because sometimes trips to the dentist can be not so pleasant. The Doctor herself always takes plenty of time meeting with me. I've recommended this office to several people and will continue to do so based on the experiences I continue to have there.

My initial visit...was GREAT! Nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly-courteous service. I was seen promptly and they evaluated me efficiently and professionally. Even though a cleaning had not been scheduled, they fitted me in and offered me some add-ons without being pushy. I can really feel the difference with the Sonicare high-fluoride toothpaste. Really top-notch service and demeanor...OUTSTANDING!
Midwest Dental has always done an awesome job caring for my teeth. I have had five crowns over the past couple years and the experience was always great and the crowns are perfect. I've been going there for 7 years now and have always had excellent, friendly service. Short waits, easy to schedule appointments, flexibility when things come up, they do a good job cleaning and are not too pushy trying to sell the extra services. The only somewhat negative thing is that it seems the doctors and hygienists tend to leave every couple years. It's bad because you loose the rapport with the previous one, but at the same time the new ones always seem as good or better than the previous and it's enjoyable meeting new people.
The doctor and assistant both worked very hard to do this tough job and to keep me comfortable in the chair for almost 3 hours. They gave me a break and more numbing, which helped. The difficulty was the location of the tooth, not anything they did wrong. Very professional and considerate of my comfort. 5 stars!!!

We have been very satisfied with the dental care from Midwest Dental. The staff is very professional, kind and accommodating. Our family of 8 have all been taken care of very well. Our dental care has spanned from normal cleaning, cavities, sealants and crowns . They are very gentle with cleanings and dental work. Highly recommend.
I have recently switched to Midwest Dental but my experiences so far have been great! The staff is wonderful and helped me figure out the best plan of action that also worked with my budget. Dr Erika is very professional and gentle, I was worried about getting a cavity filled but she was so wonderful. I will not have any fears about returning!
