The oral hygienist was very good. Did a good cleaning. I’m giving 1 star because the dentist opened my mouth looked in it for 2 seconds and then said all good. It was very clear he either doesn’t know how to do his job or doesn’t care enough about it. Very bad service from the dentist.

The Dr is Amazing and the dental hygienistist's. However, Cheryl the office manager is very rude. She has zero customer service whatsoever. Who ever does the billing to the insurance had done it incorrectly twice . I call to get it straightened out and immediately am told it's your insurance providers issues. Um no it's not it's them doing the billing and submitting the invoices with INCORRECT information.

Take it from someone truly afraid of dentists … Dr. Farag and his whole staff have won me over in two visits! Each one … from Front Desk, to assistant, to hygienist, to Dr. Farag, they could not have put me more at ease. Due to my fear, it’s been many years since my last visit to a dentist, so by this time I had to have 4 teeth pulled on one side!! I was very nervous for that appointment, but I was quickly put at ease. Dr. Farag was awesome! The Novocaine is the hardest part, but he has a gentle touch and is patient. Now comes the gum treatments … but I don’t dread it as much as I used to. So, I highly recommend Dr. Farag at Midwest Dental.

I tried to make a NEW PATIENT exam at this office. I made that clear to the receptionist I spoke with on the phone what I was looking for. After a long while on the phone taking my info, I was then told that only the exam and x-rays would be done. The cleaning on a different day. I told her to take me out of their data base that I will look elsewhere based on their office policy. A few days later I receive an email thanking me for coming to Midwest Dental for your annual checkup. Sure glad I had my CLEANING AND EXAM elsewhere!

Midwest Dental and it employees are wonderful , I walked in and they took care of me even though I wasn't a patient yet , I am now ... I broke took off and thought I could just wiggle it loose and pulled it out myself , well a huge infection and a lot of pain later , Dr, Simmons took care to get me on an antibiotic right away and pointed me to an Oral surgery and this friday having the took pulled, but between Missy and doctor I think they have convinced me to try and save a few of my lower teeth and not have a denture made... I have only been in one time so far, and my experience was great. I hadn't been to the dentist in about 3 years, so I was expecting the worst, but it was actually a really pleasant experience. Every staff member I met was very kind and Dr. Simmons was very friendly and gentle. They used a high-pressure water thing to do most of my cleaning, which was tremendously better than the 45 minutes of scraping that I remember from my past dental experiences. They were even accommodating with my bringing my 5 month old along. I go to the grocery store next door, and have to say that the outside of the office looks a little outdated so I didn't have high hopes for what to expect inside – but the office was very modern, clean & inviting. I already made my next appointment to go back! Thank you Midwest Dental Salem. :)

I had been on a long and arduous search for a dentist for months when I found Family Dental. Every other office that I visited either felt impersonal, dishonest, or pushy as far as "recommending" procedure that I didn't really need. Right from the get go, Family Dental was different than the rest. Their front office staff could not have been friendlier. They made it easy to make an initial appointment, and made me feel very welcome upon check in. Dr. Simmons and his staff are knowledgeable and compassionate. They listened earnestly when I expressed a concern about a divot in my molar, and were honest about assuring me that it was nothing to worry about. I left my appointment feeling great about the care that I received. I cannot recommend Family Dental in Salem enough!

Unsympathetic to cancelled appts and 20 mins before appt times for 3 of us they said we no longer want you as a patient due to my son being sick and I had medical emergencies they didn't care about related to cancelled appts from the week before. I'd say live my life and you might have a little more compassion for the situationan. It's probably a blessing for if he's anything like Dr Kaske from the same clinic its no wonder the attitude. I even offered payment for missed visits; crazy business I'd say.
