I was born and raised on Maui, Hawaii where dental education was lacking. As a child and young adult, I struggled with poor oral health, dental anxiety and fear of embarrassment, which translated into a fear of the dentist. It wasn’t until I was in college that I was able to receive treatment. Experiencing the positive benefits of dentistry ultimately inspired me to become a dentist myself. I want my patients to know that I have their best interests in mind and that I will strive to provide them with high-quality treatment in a welcoming, nonjudgmental and shame-free space.
