For years, the standard for early-stage cavities was to “wait and see.” Meaning you were often told to watch a small spot grow until it was finally big enough to drill and fill.
At Midwest Dental, what once seemed impossible is now a reality! Curodont can treat early cavities by supporting the tooth’s natural repair process. No needle, no stress!
How Does Curodont Work?
By mimicking nature, Curodont™ repairs early cavities by using minerals from your own saliva, helping to preserve the natural structure of the tooth. It not only helps stop early cavities from progressing, but it also supports the natural repair of the tooth without needles, without drilling, and without traditional fillings.
Curodont isn’t a filling. It’s a revolutionary treatment that helps your teeth heal themselves. It uses natural minerals to help rebuild your enamel from the inside out.
The Benefits of Curodont
If you’ve been told you have a spot to “watch” or a small spot of early decay, don’t play the waiting game. By choosing Curodont at Midwest Dental, you are choosing to restore the damaged enamel and preserve your natural tooth structure rather than replacing it with a filling later.
Non-invasive: No drilling or needle needed
No traditional filling materials
Helps preserve natural tooth structure
Non-staining, tasteless
One-time, fast & easy application*
Suitable for children and adults**
*Typically, one-time application, patient-dependent
**Children under 6 years of age: consult your dentist.
Curodont is not available at all locations. Please call the office to confirm.
Curodont is designed to treat early-stage cavities (often called “watches”). If a cavity has progressed too far or created a deep hole, a traditional filling may still be necessary. Our goal is to use Curodont early so you can avoid the drill entirely.
Is it painful?
There are no needles, no numbing, and no drilling involved. The solution is simply applied to the surface of your tooth. It is a completely comfortable experience for both adults and children.
Is it safe?
Yes. Curodont is free of any artificial filling material. And it uses minerals from your own saliva to help repair the cavity.
How long does the treatment take?
The application itself only takes about 5 minutes during your regular visit.
Is there any special post-care required?
Post-care with Curodont is simple. We just ask that you avoid rinsing, eating, or drinking for 30 minutes after the Curodont is applied.
Is Curodont covered by insurance?
Many insurance plans are beginning to cover “preventative resin” or “remineralization” treatments. Our team will review your specific benefits to see how we can make this as affordable as possible.
Why haven’t I heard of this before?
For decades, “Wait and See” was the only option for early decay. Curodont is a relatively new breakthrough in dental technology that allows us to be proactive instead of reactive.
