I’m new to the area of Northern Wisconsin, and had not establish with a dentist yet. Unfortunately, I began to have a toothache last weekend, knowing that this tooth had been bad for quite awhile, it was now quite painful! By Tuesday 1/23/24, I was calling around the area Dental Clinics, trying to get in to somewhere to have the tooth examined, after 4-5 calls, I soon found out, that no place were taking new patients, even on an emergency basis. Fortunately, the last clinic I called, suggested “Midwest Dental” might be a place to try. And, I’m glad I did! “Midwest Dental” in Strum, Wisconsin, got me in to see the dentist in less than 24 hrs.! From the woman answering the phone, in the office, to the Dental assistant, to the Dentist himself, Dr. Brian Underwood, they were all very professional, very understanding and empathetic, and very helpful! Also, to my surprise, the cost for the exam and X-ray, without dental insurance ( I don’t have dental insurance right now), was very reasonable, and affordable! Dr. Underwood spoke respectfully to me, answered any questions or concerns I had, and explained the situation with that tooth, in a truthful manner, along with his opinion and suggestions for treatment, and gave me my options, but, ultimately , left the final decision up to me! I didn’t feel rushed, or obligated to make a decision on the spot! I was able to make an informed decision, and I felt that Dr. Underwood respected that, and we moved forward with a plan. I was very pleased with the care I received at Midwest Dental Clinic, at my first visit, and plan on continuing with them, as my new Dentist! I would highly recommend Dr. Underwood at Midwest Dental for anyone looking to establish with a trustworthy and professional Dentist and, dental office!

He aided me over the phone, offered to come in and take a look at what was going on, and prescribed to me an antibiotic. In a moment of panic and horrible pain, he was the calm on the other end of the phone. I highly recommend checking out his clinic!

Dr. Underwood started being my Dentist when another Dentist wouldn't help me with the extreme pain in my tooth. I was pregnant at the time and couldn't possibly take anymore pain meds. Dr. Underwood found the problem, relieved the pressure, I got a root canal and the pain never came back. My children and I have been going to him for 15 years now and they are just as happy and not scared. His staff is wonderful, very kind and caring, just make you feel so comfortable.
