Completed a one-year hospital-based residency at Walter Reed Medical Center and a two-year Comprehensive Dentistry residency at Schofield Barracks, HI. During my residency, I earned a Master's Degree in Oral Biology.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my two cats and family. I'm an avid quilter and enjoy being outdoors, whether I'm hiking, skiing, or traveling. During the summer, I enjoy boating on the river and pulling my nephews on a tube.
Dentistry is a second career for me. I also have a Master's Degree in Public Health and have worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Minnesota Department of Health. I'm excited to be back in my home state of Wisconsin and working at Midwest Dental in Winona. I truly enjoyed my time in the Army and loved taking care of our soldiers, but I wanted to be closer to my family.

It was an awesome experience as a matter of fact the best I ever experienced with a dentist. I had an awful toothache and needed to have it pulled "not now but right now"! Midwest Dental was able to accommodate me a new customer same day. The customer service was top notch from the moment I called at 8am in the morning to try and get an appointment. The dentist and dental assistant were professional, caring, friendly, and made me feel like and had been a customer for the past 20 years "need more of them". All businesses need to understand what I'm trying to convey here, and that is the age old adage "you never get a second chance to make a first impression" . Now with that said Midwest Dental has a new customer for life!! Thank you sincerely for your service, need more of ya.

11/10 !!! How can I so confidently give this business a 11/10? I visited this business only a couple of times a few years ago. I was teaching at Winona State on a one-year gig. They were friendly and helpful and did good work. The reason I am submitting this review NOW, though, is because today I received a letter from them about a credit on my account. I moved to Texas in 2017 and since moving to Texas have moved from East Texas to the Rio Grande Valley. This business TRACKED ME DOWN to make sure I got the credit that I have coming to me. THOSE are the kind of folks I want to do business with. They are deserving of encouragement and thanks. The refund isn't going to make me a rich man, mind you, but the fact that they wanted to make sure their customer - albeit a short-term customer - got above-board service is admirable.

After I got home from my first visit, the front desk secretary called and left a voicemail to check on me. My tooth extraction was a success and have further dental work to complete.
I have used Midwest Dental since coming to Winona 14 years ago and have had excellent experience with all of their procedures; for example, repair of a broken crown, repair of a broken partial, extraction of teeth, making and implanting a a four tooth permanent bridge, cleaning and other tasks. In every situation, I have found Midwest Dental to be professional, courteous, thoughtful and patient, concerned about my possibility of suffering pain in any procedure. Over all, I give them an outstanding rating in all categories. As proof, I even talked my wife in going to them as well. She does not like to go to the dentist; she does now.

On my first visit there a few weeks ago, I used their new patient promotion because we do not have dental insurance- $89 for exam, cleaning and xrays. Besides the regular X-rays , they took a panorama X-ray, all covered by this fee. This alone saved us big bucks. So glad we found this office as we are new to the area. Would recommend them to anyone.
