I had my first appointment with Dr. Petersen and staff and could not be happier. Because of the extensive x-rays (which were no more difficult than any I have had previously) and thorough checking of my gums, Dr. Petersen was able to diagnose and present a solution to a problem I have had for over a year. My previous dentist worked on this issue three times and could not find an answer. All of the staff were friendly, courteous and willing to rise above average in their treatment of me. I recommend this office completely. I did read the previous bad review and, seriously, cannot imagine these same people as being rude and below par in their duties. Please give this office a try and I think you will be as pleased as I am.

I NEVER leave bad reviews, BUT I tried this place based on reviews and it DID NOT reflect the reviews out there. Ironically one of my friends had an appointment scheduled for her family the day after mine and said her experience was similar to mine and so awful! So I deeply regret having to leave this review but feel its necessary to inform others wondering rather to try it or not! So many things wrong with this experience. Didn't get xrays which in return had an issue 6 weeks later that could've been avoided had there been an xray. They gave me close to 10 x-rays of my teeth...with the largest mouth piece I've ever had! I've gone to the dentist every 6 months my entire life and never had that many x-rays in one visit. Nor have I ever had issues with a mouth piece for x-rays but OH MY...I thought I was gonna throw up from it being so huge! I specifically asked about a crack in my daughters tooth and they said "there's nothing there"...& 6 weeks later we had a huge issue with it. Which the specialist told us...that's more than likely where the problem stemmed from. The dental assistant was short tempered and rude to us. And told us all we weren't flossing or brushing correctly. I've never been told that in my whole life. Unfortunately it just was a very bad experience that serious issues were overlooked.

So many things wrong with this experience. Didn't get xrays which in return had an issue 6 weeks later that could've been avoided had there been an xray. The dental assistant was short tempered and rude to us. And told us all we weren't flossing or brushing correctly. I've never been told that in my whole life. Unfortunately it just was a very bad experience that serious issues were overlooked.

My family has been going to Midwest Dental for about 5 years or more. And we just love them. My kids are not afraid to go to the dentist, which is a big plus to any family. And both of them just had to have 4 teeth pulled to get ready for braces. They are so very kind to everyone, and always greet us with a smile and know us all by name. They take the time to talk to you and treat you like you are of importance. I wouldn't go anywhere else and would diffently recommend them to anyone.

My first routine exam was incredibly detailed and thorough, and when I needed a root canal, I was pleasantly surprised - absolutely no pain (except the pin-prick Novocaine shot), and recovery was smooth. My family has been going to Midwest Dental for about 5 years or more. And we just love them. My kids are not afraid to go to the dentist, which is a big plus to any family. And both of them just had to have 4 teeth pulled to get ready for braces. They are so very kind to everyone, and always greet us with a smile and know us all by name. They take the time to talk to you and treat you like you are of importance. I wouldn't go anywhere else and would diffently recommend them to anyone.

The staff is friendly and efficient. We have twice a year check-ups scheduled and rarely wait more than a few minutes beyond our appointment time. On the rare occasions when we've had minor dental emergencies we've been able to be seen by Dr. Markham right away--we know he has come in early or stayed late to be sure we were taken care of. Denise is a wonderful hygienist. Dr. M. is an awesome dentist and one of the most gentlemanly and genuinely friendly professionals you will ever meet.
