I've been going to Midwest Dental in Pewaukee for about 7 years and they've always treated me good, in and out quickly and Dr. Zelko is understanding and easy to talk to, I've had good experiences with the staff and dental assistants as well Highly recommended if you live in the area and are looking for a new dentist.

The greatest dentist I have ever been to in my 68 years. I went to the office, on Copeland Avenue in LA Crosse WI. I have gone there to have my teeth cleaned, also to have a wisdom tooth pulled as well as a root canal and a cap on one of my front teeth. All of my visits , from front office worker Megan to the assistants and dr. Ochsner have been unbelievably awesome. The professionalism of the doctor and his staff above and beyond any business I have ever been in. They are definitely five star in Every phase of Dentistry.

Will be leaving this practice and never going back. After years of being a loyal patient, they were not willing to own up to a mistake the dentist made on my husband's crown that just fell out after just months of getting it. Insurance wouldn't cover replacement crown, and they expected us to cover the entire cost...a crown should not just fall out like that, obviously subpar work by the dentist Dr. Zelko, and they were not willing to work with us . We wanted to negotiate, willing to pay even half the cost, etc. but nope, no negotiating. It's sad that they won't take accountability for their mistakes. So we're done with this place.

My wife had been calling and leaving voicemails to obtain an emergency service due to two new cavities, as well as a filling that cracked and never received any responses. Now the tooth with the cracked filling broke. They finally answered but stated the don't' have any openings for a week and will not make an exceptions for an emergency appointment despite the fact that they ignored her previous calls. Now we need to find a new dentist that will get her in so she doesn't completely lose the tooth.

I've been going to this location for maybe 12 years and frankly its the best dentist office I've been to ( I actually look forward to it). Clean, safe with COVID protocols and appointments are convenient. My hygienist Amanda (a West Virginia transplant) was awesome. My BP was running a bit high and she pointed out where I was on the scale of this might be a concern. I've developed a sensitivity on a tooth and she was extremely helpful in some tips. Dr. Mark Zelko is honestly the best dentist I've ever had. My wife hates going and his chair-side manner has caused her anxiety to disappear. He even corrected a bad diagnosis on a tooth which "needs a root canal" and in fact only needed a crown. Highly recommend this location and this team.

He checked for oral cancer symptoms, jaw issues, etc. Then went through everything in detail, outlined a treatment plan, and made sure I had all of the information I needed. I didn't have to wait in the waiting room at all, they led me right back. The office is clean and comfortable. I am so happy that I found this place. I do NOT like getting dental work done, but I found myself very relaxed here. I would recommend this office in a heartbeat. Thank you Katie & Dr. Zelko!

We have going here for almost 10 years years now. It was difficult with the turnover several years ago but that has settled down a bit with Dr Zelko for the last few years. Dr Zelko is patient and kind and is upfront about what needs to be done. He explains everything before he starts and as he is doing it, I like that they are never any surprises. Karrie, our hygienist, is amazing! She always goes above and beyond to make sure that it is a pleasant experience. She takes her time and is thorough but also very gentle. We just started taking our kids there, she was kind and patient with them as well. Going to the dentist isn't always fun but the doctors and staff here make it bearable. We are always greeted with a smile by the front office staff and have always been treated respectfully. I would recommend this office for anyone with anxiety or children.

My family has visited here for about 2-3 years. I have seen high turnover here. They have had issues with their x-ray machines. Once it took them two hours to get x-rays. They also recommended an unnecessary crown and said there was a cavity where there was none. I have changed dentists now and the cavity that they claimed using the x-ray has never materialized. Be cautious since you might be over treated here.

Had my initial examination there yesterday. Everyone was very friendly, and the dentist (Dr. Zelko) explained everything as he was doing it. I'm not a huge fan of going to dentists in general, so that was very helpful. Would recommend. :)

In addition, the company they use to validate coverage demonstrated to be less than professional. i should have knew when i called for appointment and the call "right back" took 2 hours...then i got my papers to fill out and they only where capable of putting 4 letters of my last name down. took 1 hour just to get x-rays. Dental assistant ran into x-ray arm at least 3 times. Rested it on my eyeball and against throat. gave me safety glasses and well talking shot water over my face. Shortly after shot down my neck. As had me knee high office manager comes in we will not honor the $89 coupon and will charge you 189 to shoot water at your teeth and schedule you for another appointment for the cleaning and another $89....So i got orally beaten up for an hour for $89. X-rays and no work done!

ok folks i have read the negative comments but i don't understand most of them. first if you are going to have dental work and are concerned about the cost...then ask. as for small children i can't help you there. my only concern is the turnover in personnel including dentists. oh but I think i have one now who plans to stay around for a long time. talk to your dentist get to know her and her to get to know you! i think it is important for the dentist and patient to develop a patient/dentist relationship. without that there is no trust. i have that now with my new dentist. I am happy with her. Midwest Dental is a nice place to come and relax to have my dental work. 5 stars to Dr. Jessica Grams. Thanks for the memories Doc! lol

The staff are FANTASTIC! I just had dental work done that required Novocaine. For the first time in my life, I could feel my cheek on the outside after the appt. It was still numb where she did the work, but I didn't feel like my face was drooping! I don't know how she did that. My only critique is why other dental offices can call me with a reminder to take my Amoxicillin before I come in and Midwest corporate says they can't. Come on, focus on customer service!!

I have read some poor reviews and looks like most of them deal with insurance, maybe they need to be more proactive about telling folks what the true costs of procedures are, and what they might cost them. All in all I have had great experiences there and Brenda the hygienist and the new dentist Dr Grams seems great as well.

Had a crown done in November 2013, was charged up front like all dental procedures. In May 2014, I received a bill to say adjustments have been made. Called the account specialist to find that yet another adjustment has been made and I now owe more money. After talking to my insurer, I was told that the type of crown I received was not covered so it was put under another type. I asked the Midwest Dental account specialist why this wasn't discovered in the first place and was told they don't know these things until after the payment is submitted. I find it hard to believe that a large practice doesn't know when certain procedures aren't covered by even larger insurers. To make matters worse, the tooth was super sensitive for two months after the procedure. I've had three other crowns done by three different dentists in the Middleton and Madison areas before moving to Waukesha, and have never had the issues either with the quality of service of payment that I've experienced at Midwest Dental Pewaukee. Needless to say my family is taking its business elsewhere and I would never recommend this dental practice to anyone.

Furthermore, they did such a poor job on it, the tooth continues to hurt and she has to see another dentist to do the job over again. We will never set foot in that clinic again.

I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone who wants to have children treated there. When I first started looking for a dentist, this one appealed to me because it was very close to home. They assured me they were very good with children. My grandson was 4 when I started to bring him and of course he was scared. I was able to sit with him through the cleaning and even getting cavities filled. However, they made it clear that they would prefer I sit in the waiting room. Well this last visit, I was not in the room and he started to cry, they were able to clean his teeth but not get an xray. That was all they needed, I was told he couldn't return there, I had to take him to a pediatric dentist.... It would have been nice to know, they cave so easily when a child is scared and doesn't cooperate. His Dentist was Heather and she was very nice to him, but this last time, it was someone he didn't know, they were 20 minutes late getting him in and it was close to closing time. I felt they wanted him gone so they could all go home. Very disappointed!!! Now my grandson is traumatized and will need more care going forward.

Heather the front end office manager has no people skills and no empathy and should not being in that position! She claims she is the manager, if that is not where I want to do business! I will happily pull from my families dental needs from this office because of our numerous negative experiences with her, and I have! You would think that in an environment where people are "nervous" to begin with they would put someone who was kind in the front office... NOPE not here! As for the dentists, I miss Dr Carlson, as soon as she left we haven't been as happy there. The hygienists are overall nice but the place is just not what it used to be!

The greatest dentist I have ever been to in my 68 years. I went to the office, on Copeland Avenue in LA Crosse WI. I have gone there to have my teeth cleaned, also to have a wisdom tooth pulled as well as a root canal and a cap on one of my front teeth. All of my visits , from front office worker Megan to the assistants and dr. Ochsner have been unbelievably awesome. Will be leaving this practice and never going back. After years of being a loyal patient, they were not willing to own up to a mistake the dentist made on my husband's crown that just fell out after just months of getting it. Insurance wouldn't cover replacement crown, and they expected us to cover the entire cost...a crown should not just fall out like that, obviously subpar work by the dentist Dr. Zelko, and they were not willing to work with us . We wanted to negotiate, willing to pay even half the cost, etc. but nope, no negotiating. It's sad that they won't take accountability for their mistakes. So we're done with this place.

My wife had been calling and leaving voicemails to obtain an emergency service due to two new cavities, as well as a filling that cracked and never received any responses. Now the tooth with the cracked filling broke. They finally answered but stated the don't' have any openings for a week and will not make an exceptions for an emergency appointment despite the fact that they ignored her previous calls. Now we need to find a new dentist that will get her in so she doesn't completely lose the tooth.

I've been going to this location for maybe 12 years and frankly its the best dentist office I've been to ( I actually look forward to it). Clean, safe with COVID protocols and appointments are convenient. My hygienist Amanda (a West Virginia transplant) was awesome. My BP was running a bit high and she pointed out where I was on the scale of this might be a concern. I've developed a sensitivity on a tooth and she was extremely helpful in some tips. Dr. Mark Zelko is honestly the best dentist I've ever had. My wife hates going and his chair-side manner has caused her anxiety to disappear. He even corrected a bad diagnosis on a tooth which "needs a root canal" and in fact only needed a crown. Highly recommend this location and this team.

Karrie, our hygienist, is amazing! She always goes above and beyond to make sure that it is a pleasant experience. She takes her time and is thorough but also very gentle. We just started taking our kids there, she was kind and patient with them as well. Going to the dentist isn't always fun but the doctors and staff here make it bearable. We are always greeted with a smile by the front office staff and have always been treated respectfully. I would recommend this office for anyone with anxiety or children.

Every 6 months when I go in it appears there is a turnover in staffing. Makes me wonder if I should go somewhere else that has a team that have been together for a longer time. In addition, the company they use to validate coverage demonstrated to be less than professional. Will give them one more shot but in not happy with service will be moving to a different dentist office.

i should have knew when i called for appointment and the call "right back" took 2 hours...then i got my papers to fill out and they only where capable of putting 4 letters of my last name down. took 1 hour just to get x-rays. Dental assistant ran into x-ray arm at least 3 times. Rested it on my eyeball and against throat. gave me safety glasses and well talking shot water over my face. Shortly after shot down my neck. As had me knee high office manager comes in we will not honor the $89 coupon and will charge you 189 to shoot water at your teeth and schedule you for another appointment for the cleaning and another $89....So i got orally beaten up for an hour for $89. X-rays and no work done!

ok folks i have read the negative comments but i don't understand most of them. first if you are going to have dental work and are concerned about the cost...then ask. as for small children i can't help you there. my only concern is the turnover in personnel including dentists. oh but I think i have one now who plans to stay around for a long time. talk to your dentist get to know her and her to get to know you! i think it is important for the dentist and patient to develop a patient/dentist relationship. without that there is no trust. i have that now with my new dentist. I am happy with her. Midwest Dental is a nice place to come and relax to have my dental work. 5 stars to Dr. Jessica Grams. Thanks for the memories Doc! lol

It was still numb where she did the work, but I didn't feel like my face was drooping! I don't know how she did that. My only critique is why other dental offices can call me with a reminder to take my Amoxicillin before I come in and Midwest corporate says they can't. Come on, focus on customer service!!

I have always had a good experience with Midwest Dental! I came from a really good dentist in New Berlin to this one and my experience has been great! I have read some poor reviews and looks like most of them deal with insurance, maybe they need to be more proactive about telling folks what the true costs of procedures are, and what they might cost them. All in all I have had great experiences there and Brenda the hygienist and the new dentist Dr Grams seems great as well.

Had a crown done in November 2013, was charged up front like all dental procedures. In May 2014, I received a bill to say adjustments have been made. Called the account specialist to find that yet another adjustment has been made and I now owe more money. After talking to my insurer, I was told that the type of crown I received was not covered so it was put under another type. I asked the Midwest Dental account specialist why this wasn't discovered in the first place and was told they don't know these things until after the payment is submitted. I find it hard to believe that a large practice doesn't know when certain procedures aren't covered by even larger insurers. To make matters worse, the tooth was super sensitive for two months after the procedure. I've had three other crowns done by three different dentists in the Middleton and Madison areas before moving to Waukesha, and have never had the issues either with the quality of service of payment that I've experienced at Midwest Dental Pewaukee. Needless to say my family is taking its business elsewhere and I would never recommend this dental practice to anyone.

Furthermore, they did such a poor job on it, the tooth continues to hurt and she has to see another dentist to do the job over again. We will never set foot in that clinic again.

I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone who wants to have children treated there. When I first started looking for a dentist, this one appealed to me because it was very close to home. They assured me they were very good with children. My grandson was 4 when I started to bring him and of course he was scared. I was able to sit with him through the cleaning and even getting cavities filled. However, they made it clear that they would prefer I sit in the waiting room. Well this last visit, I was not in the room and he started to cry, they were able to clean his teeth but not get an xray. That was all they needed, I was told he couldn't return there, I had to take him to a pediatric dentist.... It would have been nice to know, they cave so easily when a child is scared and doesn't cooperate. His Dentist was Heather and she was very nice to him, but this last time, it was someone he didn't know, they were 20 minutes late getting him in and it was close to closing time. I felt they wanted him gone so they could all go home. Very disappointed!!! Now my grandson is traumatized and will need more care going forward.

Heather the front end office manager has no people skills and no empathy and should not being in that position! She claims she is the manager, if that is not where I want to do business! I will happily pull from my families dental needs from this office because of our numerous negative experiences with her, and I have! You would think that in an environment where people are "nervous" to begin with they would put someone who was kind in the front office... NOPE not here! As for the dentists, I miss Dr Carlson, as soon as she left we haven't been as happy there. The hygienists are overall nice but the place is just not what it used to be!
