I spend a lot of time with me family and I enjoy talking to people, playing games, reading, and embracing my inner geek.
I believe in patient-centric preventive and restorative care. I am passionate about oral health but it's more than that to me. I love my patients. I try to make dentistry as friendly and fun as possible. It's wonderful to work together toward a common goal of having them keep their teeth their whole life and being happy with them. I consider patient education essential when making decisions about treatment and maintaining their oral health. My philosophy is to use evidence based best practices with an eye toward giving you the best options in maintaining and restoring your oral health.

I have never had the dentist actually clean the tarter of my teeth!!! My teeth look and feel so great and as he used a new tool, my mouth was not sore afterwards. I was very pleased with this outcome!!! The hygienist did a great job also! I should have asked him about what I can do with the hole in my mouth since I have had 2 teeth extracted! I came in very nervous as I hadn't been to the dentist in 3+ years due to a bad experience at the last office I had been to. I needed a lot of fillings, and rather than making me feel bad, Dr. Walker and the rest of the staff made me feel very cared for and were so patient. It really means a lot to have compassionate professionals who make you feel comfortable. Dr. Walker is also quite humorous--you will not have a boring visit. I recommend Midwest Dental for everyone!

I had a temporary crown put on at Christmas time and it came off. We found glue and tried to fix the problem. I had pain in my mouth I had never experienced and Dr. was on vacation for the week. I came into the office to make an appointment ASAP and Kim actually called Dr. Spencer to talk to him and next thing I know he is coming in to see me on his vacation! Nowhere do you get that kind of service!!

My husband and I have been coming here for about a year. It had been a few years since either of us had been to the dentist. At no point were we shamed about that; they have just helped us get back on track. At my appointment today, I was told that there has been tremendous improvement in my gums since my last appointment. Yay! My husband has needed serious dental planing and 2 crowns so far. The work he's had done is beautiful! There is still plenty more to do in there, but we know he's in good hands. The Dr. is very knowledgeable and very good at what he does. Kim, in the front office, is a gem. Every time we're here, I feel like I'm visiting a friend.

I travel over an hour for my dental care to see Dr. Walker and his team because they are simply the best. I have struggled with dental issues my entire adult life and Dr. Walker and his team have embraced my issues with caring support and treatment to get me on the right track to my best dental health. The receptionist, hygienist, dental assistants and dentist are all very polite and professional and make me feel like I am more than the next appointment. Kim, Emma, and Dr. Spencer were absolutely phenomenal! They got me taken care of for an emergency inflammation issue that was keeping me up at night. I was given some medical mouthwash homework to continue treatment even after they were done seeing me. The staff was kind, friendly, and good luck on your upcoming hike Kim!

First visit, so no information on the dental work, but the most extensive exam along with a great deal of information on everything happening with my teeth. Even got to see the problems and have them explained. I think I am going to have a better set of teeth with this dentist!
The dentist helped put my son's fears of cavity repair at rest. He made my son laugh during the procedure. Also, my son's hygienist was matter of fact, yet kind, when he was getting his teeth cleaned. Also, my daughter appreciated the direct, yet kind attitude with regards to her dentist related anxiety triggers. The prices are reasonable too!

If you are looking for a great dentist, you can't find, in my opinion, a better dentist than Dr Walker. This office is also great to work with. I don't feel like a number. I’d give Dr. Walker 10 stars if I could. If anyone has had dental anxiety in the past at other providers, I highly suggest you see Dr. Walker at Midwest Dental in Cedar Falls. I have had issues with getting numb before dental procedures for many years and other providers always blew me off. When you have to go though a crown and root canal with dental anesthetic not working, it’s kind of a big deal. Dr. Walker figured out why this was happening and was able to get me numb with no problems for my crown. It appears that I have a rare nerve anatomy and Dr. Walker discovered it. I can’t thank you enough for listening to my concerns and figuring out what the issue was. Everyone at this dental office is professional and very nice. Kim at the front desk is always very helpful with any questions that I have and Diane is a super great hygienist!

Doc Walker had the tooth extracted within minutes. You know how they say "no pain no gain." There was no PAIN. Wam bam thank you maam oh I mean Mr. Walker. They all performed their tasks well.
Love Dr Walker, Kim and the entire staff! Recently I started having a horrible issue with TMJ and could barely open my mouth, Dr Walker took the time to diagnose the exact problem and make a splint, within a week my pain was 90% improved! After months and months of pain it was amazing! So appreciative that he took the time to listen and find the problem!

First time visiting today and they made me feel very comfortable despite my anxiety. The front desk lady was super cheerful and set the tone for the entire visit. That was very comforting! The Dr. also talked me through all the steps and process while allowing me to view images of my teeth to follow along. Looking forwards to more friendly and informative visits.

Everyone is fantastic and I can tell that you guys truly care about the health of others. The lovely lady who did my teeth cleaning was so thorough and kept going until she got EVERYTHING perfect! The assistants were educational and the front desk lady is a hoot! So funny. The dentist is hilarious and heart warming, I look forward to having more work done from him.
Hands down the best dentist visit I have ever had. The lady at the front desk was so happy and cheerful and made you feel welcome the second you walk in the door. The girl who did my X-rays was super nice and friendly and the hygienist was super informative and easy to talk to. She explained what she was doing and why, she even gave me a run down on the doctors lingo before he came in so I would half way understand what he was saying when he was talking to her! Dr Walker was amazing, he actually took a picture of my cavity to show me and explained his plan of action to take care of it and explained some things that I could expect in the future based on how my teeth looked today. Overall I was extremely impressed with everyone and the whole visit!

This is a nice practice. Dr. Walker is a smart and talented dentist. He will take the time to explain things to you in detail if you ask. It seems like the few negative reviews here are from people who didn't connect well with him personally. I can see how he might collide with certain personalities, but that is not my experience.

Possibly the best dental experience I’ve ever had in my entire life. Was extremely nervous about getting a root canal done, and Dr. Walker had me laughing the whole time. The entire office staff is kind, and so so understanding. I highly recommend!!!
I had cracked my tooth, on an olive pit. I called this office, because I had received a flier in the mail for a free toothbrush.lol.. I am probably the biggest chicken there is when it comes to going to the dentist. This place was great. They made me feel very comfortable, explained everything they were doing. I had a fear of the dentist office after a previous dental fail. When I needed an emergency root canal Midwest Dental was suggested. When I called Kim was so pleasant and understanding. She didn’t think twice to tell me to come right on in. Dr. Walker was excellent and was very patient with me after he heard of my previous dental experience. They even stayed after hours to complete my dental work and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable in he chair. I can’t say enough about Midwest Dental, Dr. Walker, and his team!
Staff is very friendly and welcoming! Dr. Walker takes the time to show me ex-rays and explains what I am looking at. He takes into account any health issues I may have and takes the time to do research so that I get the proper repairs/treatments.

I have been with the dentist about a year now, and beside the regular check up, I had a broken tooth that 'received' a crown (a dental crown) few months ago. The whole experience has been great, and one of the aspect that I liked is that I got a detailed -out of pocket- expenses that I needed. I believe that most of the dental plan has a cap in any type of work, and knowing upfront what I need to have was very helpful to plan myself. I totally agree with other reviewer that the staff is very capable and nice.
I'v been to a lot of dentist over my 69 years and non of them can hold a torch to Dr. Walker! He is absolutely the finest dentist there is. He is incredibly knowledgeable, skillful, pleasant and painless. I'v urged my family to visit him.
The best Dental experience I've ever had! All of the staff was so nice and the doctor was very informative and personable. There was genuine interest in my dental health rather than my money. You also get a free rechargeable tooth brush as a new customer!
I was in town on business and cracked a tooth in half. I went down the list of dentists near me and they were the ONLY ones to fit me in for an emergency appointment. I then explained that I needed a fix that would last at least a week as i was travelling more after i left Cedar Falls. They kept me longer, ordered me a crown and got it installed the next day without hesitation. The caring and professionalism shown by both the Doctor and his staff is unparalleled and I will go back in a heartbeat if i ever have a dental need in Cedar Falls.

Midwest Dental Cedar Falls is the smart choice! Initially, Midwest Dental was the only close option with my insurance, but I stayed after my insurance upgrade because the quality of service I received was phenomenal. The staff is helpful and kind. Dr. Walker is very skilled, insightful, personable, and trust-worthy. He thoroughly explained all of my procedures and treated me like family. I recommend Midwest Dental to all my friends!

Very friendly staff, makes you feel completely at ease. The dentist is committed to properly caring for your mouth (and he has a great sense of humor). They are willing to work with most or all insurances. All in all, a great family dentistry! I would pick them over previous dentists I've had any time.
